The setup: This book is the second book in The Amagarians, though it can be read as a standalone. The heroine is the sister of the hero in the first book. They're both Darkans, who are like vampires, shifters, and demons combined. Basically everyone's scared of the Darkans, but all they really want to do is make some friends. So Tehdra, the heroine, is assigned to keep track of Ajali (the King of Nuria and a hot, arrogant bastard!) to stop some renegade Darkans from possibly assassinating him. To do this, she joins his harem.

It's been way too long since I've read a romance with a harem in it. This book brought me back to my early days of romance reading, when the men were domineering and arrogant and the nights were sultry. Seriously, this book is sexy. But there's also a lot of action in it--Tehdra's a warrior and her demon is hungry! I actually thought Tehdra could have kicked a little more ass, but for the most part I was pretty happy with the level of ass kicking. I did notice a few grammar errors, but I liked the story so much that I wasn't too bothered.

I would definitely recommend this to any fan of paranormal romance.

Wonderful enemies to lovers romance. Full of passion, danger, and intrigue.
Sensuality and intrigue were woven throughout the story. 4 stars and not 5 because it dragged in some parts describing the flames and phoenyx inside Ajali. All in all, good story. I 'm looking for the next one.
I purchased this book before I finished the first book in the series. I would seriously recommend this series to all true paranormal romance fans. The world building puts me in the mind frame of Kresley Cole. I would have given it five stars, however there were a few grammar errors. That being said I am in love with the series so far, can't wait for the third book in the series!
I really love this entire world! ♥️ She keeps the tension high, and any minor faults are forgiven because the conflict is so wonderful. I can’t wait to see what Reid does next. Where’s Book 3????
I loved this book, it did have times where I would lose my way and have to go back a few pages and reread because there is a lot of information. Even with that I would recommend this book. Once I started I couldn't stop! This series and every book Stacy Reid has written is amazing and I would recommend 100%.
Eternal Flames was riveting. From when I realized Ajali was Tehdra's mate, I was on edge wondering how it would unfold, because he is like the hard core king of Nuria. When I realized she would be a concubine and that was how she would infiltrate his realm I was like hell yeah. Then i started reading and I was like blown away. The suspense, the intrigue was so great. Tehdra did not disappoint me at all. I love Ajali so much. He is this hot powerful Alpha mate, who fell in love with his most reviled enemy. The attraction between them was so potent, the chemistry scorching. I eagerly await the next installment.
Eternal Flames (The Amagarians #2) by Stacy Reid I found to be entertaining, fast paced and an enjoyable romance. Our female lead Tehdra El Kyn is sent to infiltrate the court of King Ajali of the Nurian Kingdom to stop assassins from killing him. She hopes to do this unnoticed but failing in that attempt and landed herself has a harem girl in the king’s wing.

Tehdra El Kyn doesn’t actually know how to be a harem girl because she’s a warrior; the king figures out pretty fast that she’s not what she seems. Luckily he doesn’t figure out that she comes from a land he usually considers his enemy. They play a game of cat and mouse while she tries to find the assassins and he tries to figure out what she is really there for.

The cons of this series for me is the names, many of them are awkward to pronounce. There are some spelling and grammar errors that normally don’t bug me much but were noticeable that I think another round of editing would be beneficial.

All and all it was a fun read and the world is an interesting one, I’m likely to read the third book when it comes out.
