Alive The Corporeal Pull Book 1 eBook Sara Gauldin

The Corporeal Pull was a different type of story than I usually read. Sort of a cross between science fiction and fantasy. There was a lot of “world building” at the beginning but once the action started it pulled me right in and I enjoyed the imaginative and well written storyline.
Like Romeo and Juliet and other doomed literary lovers, the attraction between mismatched entities: Terra (a soul guide) and Liam (her newest charge) was sweet and instantaneous, but against normal protocol in their otherworldly existence.
The author has taken many different ideas such as soul mates, reincarnation, free will, and a supreme creator and reimagined a world where guides look down upon the earth and help souls reach their purpose of common good for The One.
As the story progressed, I found myself reminded of Lucifer falling to earth and infecting humanity with evil because of the huge struggle going on between good and evil souls. Intent on protecting the love of her life from this scourge of evil, Terra follows Liam to earth when he is born and finds herself in danger as well. Terra may be the only entity with the knowledge to stop the scourge from infecting every living human. Will she be able to keep Liam safe so they can be together for eternity or will he be sacrificed as part of the bigger plan? I suggest you read The Corporeal Pull and find out!

Alive The Corporeal Pull Book 1 eBook Sara Gauldin Reviews

I was sent this book for review and found it to be an intelligent and thought provoking read.

This story is deeply philosophical and explores worlds and concepts of life and death, good versus evil and transcendence in an original and clever way.

Although this first in the series it holds great significance to what it means to be human and the forces that surround us and that the next book will only delve deeper.

It too explores the 'reality' of society and its encompassing sadness and hardships - the very journeys in which make Terra's role so important.

Extremely well done.
*I was given a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Do you believe in Love-at-First-Sight? After reading this book you will. The guiding spirit of Tweens was content with her job overlooking and managing corporeal charges down on Earth. However, that changed when she meets the gorgeous newcomer Liam. She begins to questions everything and soon enough a cute light romance begins to form.

I'm the type of person that in order to love the book, I have to be hooked from the very first page. Unfortunately that didn't happen with The Corporeal Pull. I continued reading for review purposes but wasn't expecting anything great. However my perception changed by the third chapter. From then on I was loving this beautifully written novel. The author does a great job giving definition and reason to the insta-love.

Personally, I would recommend this book to most of my friends. Fans of paranormal romance will enjoy this read. I am so happy I was given the opportunity to review this book. I'm looking forward to the sequel!

If you haven't checked out The Corporeal Pull do so now! You will not regret it!

There has been a cover change since I received the book and I have to admit, I love the new look. This cover is more personal and related to the plot of the story compared to the original the original.
This book was filled with loads of interesting ideas and situations. When Terra met Liam she didn’t know that her very existence would change in a heartbeat. As a “guide” for corporeal entities, she has linked minds with her charges and helped them fulfill their divine purpose during their lives on Earth. She noticed that soul mates often found their partners again and again, during many lifetimes, but she never thought she’d meet her own soul mate until she touched Liam’s hand. Terra risks everything, including her immortal soul, to protect Liam from the evil that threatens his life. During the process she learns about the terrible Scrouge that might threaten everyone in the Tweens and on Earth. Can she save Liam? Will she survive the ordeal herself?

Whether you believe in a higher authority or the existence of good and evil, this story will tug at your heart. Two souls linked by love must survive against desperate odds and find each other in a dangerous world. Terra is courageous and able to learn how to fight evil although she occupies a weak child’s body. Her determination and heart make us want to see her succeed, but the dangers might be too much for one heavenly entity as she navigates the underbelly of real life to save her soul mate.

This is a clean read without explicit sex or bloody violence, which is remarkable since there are battle scenes again evil entities. The author supplied a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review, and I happily recommend it to any reader, young or old.
This is not your typical little happy sci-fi action romance at all. From the very beginning, it gets you thinking about deeper things--the meaning of life and relationships. Not what I expected, but worth diving into. I found it more mental than emotional, even though it was a love story, which made it a little hard for me to connect with Terra (the main character). However, the whole premise is fascinating.

One little thing I wish there had been a kindle navigable table of contents for easy jumping back to review this or that scene. (That's where I miss having a paperback instead of a digital copy. You can't dog-ear e-pages quite the same way.)
I loved it!!! The story of soulmates struggling to survive against all odds. This is the kind of books that makes you think about life and our purpose. The plot is beautifully written and the characters are wonderful. I recommend this read to anyone. I can't wait to read Sara Dauldin's next book.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, and I gave an honest review.
